As well as concretes traditional structural function, it is increasingly being called on to fill an aesthetic role. Additionally, more and more concrete is being used in green buildings as the thermal mass of concrete allows for the regulation of temperatures by day and night requiring less heating and cooling.

Concrete made with Ecocem is lighter in colour and is easier to get an improved finish with. It also suppresses or eliminates efflorescence.
